Edition of 10 only. Signed and numbered by the artist. Printed in London. This is the third and final edition of 'Jerusalem', my tribute to William Blake. Blake is now considered a seminal figure in the history of the poetry and visual arts of the Romantic Age. William Blake was born in London in 1757, just a short walk from Central Saint Martins College where I studied. Jerusalem is one of his most famous works. I’m not a religious person, Jerusalem is essentially a poem about hope and revolution. The challenge here was to find a visual tone of voice to match the Biblical intensity and epic nature of his language. I chose to work in a calligraphic style in keeping with English Writing Masters working in London in the 18th century. Please allow 10-14 days for delivery, these are hand finished to order.
